Britain has sanctioned a number of Israeli settlers linked with acts of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. Among the individuals targeted are Zohar Sabah, Harel David Libi and Daniella Weiss, the so-called “grandmother” of the Israeli settler movement who featured in Louis Theroux’s recent “Settlers” documentary. Britain yesterday joined France and Canada in condemning Israel and calling on it to end the war in Gaza after a renewed offensive in the war-torn enclave. Earlier this afternoon, Sir Keir Starmer said Britain “cannot allow the people of Gaza to starve” and that levels of suffering in the strip were “utterly intolerable”.
