Oz: Wintry blast coming this week: SA, Vic, Tas, NSW, A.C.T

Winter weather comes back in this week for a time, especially in the south and south-east of the nation as the strong high pressure belt covering Australia weakens in the days ahead. Wednesday and Thursday will be noticeably colder in a number of southern and south-eastern locations, with the colder/cooler airflow fanning out through the interior and northwards. But rainfall is limited in many places - as is snowfall in the mountains - with Tassie's west coast most exposed to rain (100mm+) over the next 7 days. Showers continue for eastern coastal Qld but it's dry or mainly dry inland, across the NT and out over the northern half of WA. We have your Australia forecast out to this Sunday + 7 day rainfall map.
