#54 Woodturning & Colouring a Sycamore Sweetie Candy Bowl
My girlfriend celebrated her 'something' birthday last week, and I thought that as she loves chocolate and sweet things (must be why she likes me! Lol), I would turn her a dish where she can keep her sweets and chocolate. I had 9x4" blank of sycamore in the shop and thought it would be ideal for the project. But sycamore is a little bit bland most of the time, so I thought some colour on the outside would be a great way to liven it up a bit. So, after turning the bowl with a slight hollow to the interior walls, I went to town on the colouring, using yellow, red, light blue, dark blue and purple stain.
