You’re both pretty entertaining, even though I’m no fan of metal. Nothing personal. Don’t know if you’re familiar with the music of Kansas, but in the ‘70s they produced mega-hits “Carry on wayward son” (which you should also react to) and “Dust in the wind”. The writer of the song, Kerry Livgren, was on a spiritual search, a journey he chronicles in the lyrics of much of Kansas’ music. A few years after this album (“Leftoverture”) Livgren converted to Christianity, a decision that was reflected in his songwriting from that point forward, with Kansas and in his subsequent bands.
