L6 - al-Bayqūniyyah - Abū Muʿādh Taqweem [حفظه الله]

The Bayqūniyyah is a well-known and concise didactic poem authored by Imām al-Bayqūnī رحمه الله, designed to summarise the core categories and foundational principles of ʿilm muṣṭalaḥ al-ḥadīth [ḥadīth terminology]. Despite its brevity, it covers a wide range of essential topics, including the types of narrations, levels of authenticity, and key classifications used by the scholars of ḥadīth. Because of its clear wording, structured verses, and ease of memorisation, the Bayqūniyyah has been studied for generations as a starting point for beginners, while also serving as a useful reference for more advanced students revising the fundamentals. This class studies the Bayqūniyyah with the explanation of al-‘Allāmah ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī [حفظه الله], whose commentary clarifies the verses, expands on their meanings, and connects them to practical examples from the Sunnah. The lessons are delivered weekly by Ustādh Abū Muʿādh Taqwīm [حفظه الله], guiding students through the text in a clear, systematic manner to help build a solid and reliable foundation in the sciences of ḥadīth.
