These Things are Incredible! Fossil Hunt, Making Ammonite Cabochons, and Prepping Ammolite!

In this one we work with some of my favorite material: Ammolite! We start the day by heading out to my fossil beds to hunt for some Cretaceous goodness and got into some very nice baculites, ammonites, and clam fossils! One thing that I say all the time is make sure to hold onto broken ammonites, and once we get back to the shop i demonstrate why that is; some ammonites are highly calcified, meaning they can be worked into absolutely stunning ammonite cabochons! Alternatively, you may find one of the biggest prizes of all(That being ammolite) which takes a bit of work but the end result is absolutely astonishing!
