8_STICLOOP™ PART 2 and APPROPRIATENESS OF STIC VOLUMES

In the prior presentation (STICLOOP™ PART 1 and APPROPRIATENESS OF STIC VOLUMES), we reviewed the tool known as STICLoop™, which is used to determine if a Spatiotemporal Image Correlation (STIC) volume is appropriate before applying the Fetal Intelligent Navigation Echocardiography (FINE) method. The purpose of this presentation is to review the nine STICLoop™ criteria that are used to determine if a STIC volume is appropriate before applying the FINE method. FINE is a novel sonographic method to examine the fetal heart. This method automatically generates and displays nine standard fetal cardiac views simultaneously. It simplifies the fetal cardiac examination, shortens examination time, and reduces operator dependency. FINE has recently been shown to have high sensitivity (98%) and specificity (93%) for the detection of congenital heart disease.
