The Skyliner is considered the fastest route from Narita Airport to central Tokyo, but if you're traveling from a location outside of Nippori or Ueno in the city center, you'll need to transfer to another form of transportation, making it surprisingly time-consuming to get to Tokyo Station. The Narita Express, on the other hand, is a single express train that gets you to Tokyo Station, and it offers a "Kakusei" service that runs about five minutes faster than the regular service. I thought that using the "Kakusei" service might get you to Tokyo Station faster than the sluggish Skyliner route from Nippori on the Yamanote Line, so I compared the two routes at 4x speed and in dual screen mode.
