This video is a review of my stay at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. I'll be reviewing Marriott Platinum status benefits, the lounge, the guest room, breakfast, and more! Stay Dates: July 7-8, 2019 Status: Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Status Platinum Status Benefits (Basic) • Free breakfast for two • Club Lounge access (for two) • Late check-out from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM • Welcome points or breakfast/gift (depending on the hotel) • Room upgrade including suites (subject to availability) Platinum Status Benefits I was able to use Breakfast Late check-out until 1:00 PM One-category free room upgrade Club Lounge access (alcoholic beverages are extra) Cost: Total cost $220 per night. (All-inclusive, including destination fees and taxes) Early July is still the off-season in New York, and there were days when hotels were cheaper. This was the cheapest hotel I stayed at during my 5-day trip. This hotel normally costs around $300-$500, so it was a great deal! The service was average, but I was pleased that they upgraded my room from a non-Times Square view room to one with a Times Square view. The lounge is open Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, it's closed for breakfast only. If you plan to use the lounge, Monday through Thursday, when it's fully operational, is recommended. As mentioned in the video, it might be a little inconvenient if your main focus is New York sightseeing, but staying in Times Square is a good option since it's a major New York tourist destination. However, the hotel's elevator design is poor, so it might take some time to get to sightseeing spots. Please keep that in mind. The lounge is so cold you can see your breath, so long sleeves are a must.
