Ressourcerie du cinéma : mais que deviennent les décors de films ?

The Marie-Antoinette series, the Aznavour biopic… Welcome behind the scenes of cinema 🎬 💡 Did you know? On average, a film set generates 15 tons of waste and can represent up to 40% of a film's carbon footprint. But good news: in Montreuil, in Seine-Saint-Denis, the Cinema Resource Center is fighting against this waste. And every year, in its 1,500 m² hangar, the association collects, sorts, and gives a second life to more than 100 tons of film and TV set pieces. Since its creation in 2020, the Resource Center has already saved 10,000 iconic objects! What happens to the sets once the cameras are off? Can fans and other individuals purchase sets? Grab your popcorn and 3D glasses; today, Jules Castanié, a journalist practically in Cannes, takes you behind the scenes.
