Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2025 — Full Flying Display
The Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show 2025 marks the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain with one of the most powerful flying tributes ever staged. IWM Duxford – a frontline fighter base in 1940 and home of Douglas Bader’s legendary “Big Wing” formation – once again fills the skies with the sound of Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. At the heart of the show was the spectacular formation of eight Hawker Hurricanes, the largest gathering of this iconic fighter in recent history. Joining them is a massed Spitfire flypast, echoing the squadrons that flew from Duxford during Britain’s Finest Hour. Rarer warbirds also feature heavily: the A-26C Invader “Sweet Eloise II” makes its Duxford debut, and the mighty Avro Lancaster returns to the skies. Historic Spitfires – including N3200, a Dunkirk veteran, and X4650, once flown by ace Alan Deere – bring living history roaring back to life. This is more than an airshow – it’s a commemoration of the pilots, crews, and aircraft that defended Britain in 1940, set against the historic backdrop of Duxford itself. #DuxfordAirshow #BattleOfBritain85 #8HurricaneFormation #BigWing #DouglasBader #DuxfordHistory #RareWWIIAircraft #LancasterBombers #airshow #A26CInvader #SpitfireFormation #LivingHistory #IWMDuxford #WWIIAirShow #HistoricPlanes #RAFHeritage #MerlinEngines #DunkirkSpitfire#bigwing #AcePilots #1940s #AviationEnthusiast #WarbirdSpectacle #CambridgeshireEvents #nostalgia #VintageFighterFlypast Chapters: 00:00 - 00:33 - Introduction to Duxford 00:34 - 01:44 - Bristol Blenheim Mk IF & Supermarine Spitfire Mk I N3200 01:45 - 02:10 - Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XI PL983 02:11 - 10:09 - 8 Hawker Hurricanes in Formation 10:10 - 10:22 - Hispano HA-112 MIL Buchón 'Yellow 10' 10:23 - 13:02 - 8 Hawker Hurricanes landing 13:03 - 18:42 - Battle of Britain Airfield Attack 18:43 - 23:39 - A-26C Invader 'Sweet Eloise II' 23:40 - 24:29 - CA-13 Boomerang 24:30 - 24:41 - Curtiss P-40F Warhawk Take Off 24:42 - 26:34 - CA-13 Boomerang Landing 26:35 - 29:55 - Curtiss P-40F Warhawk & Curtiss Hawk 75 29:56 - 35:21 - Bristol Blenheim Mk IF 35:22 - 38:06 - Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 'Sally B' 38:07 - 40:15 - Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 'Nellie B' 40:16 - 40:57 - Hawker Fury FB11 40:58 - 41:31 - Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 'Nellie B' 41:32 - 46:52 - North American P-51D Mustang 'Moonbeam McSwine', North American P-51D Mustang 'Jersey Jerk' and Cavalier F-51D Mustang 'Miss Rebel' 46:53 - 47:14 - Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina 'Miss Pick Up' Taxiing 47:15 - 47:33 - North American P-51D Mustang 'Moonbeam McSwine', North American P-51D Mustang 'Jersey Jerk' and Cavalier F-51D Mustang 'Miss Rebel' 47:34 - 54:34 Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina 'Miss Pick Up' & Fairey Swordfish Mk I 54:35 - 58:45 - Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk 6 & de Havilland DH100 Vampire 58:46 - 01:07:25 - Duxford Big Wing Aircraft Participants: A-26C Invader 'Sweet Eloise II' Supermarine Spitfire Mk I N3200 Supermarine Spitfire Mk I AR213 Supermarine Spitfire Mk I X4650 Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb EP120 Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vc EE602 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX ML417 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX MH434 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX TD314 Supermarine Spitfire T9 PV202 Supermarine Spitfire T9 PT462 Supermarine Spitfire Mk T9 MJ444 Supermarine Spitfire T9 NH341 Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XI PL983 Supermarine Spitfire Mk XVI RW386 Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIV MV268 Hawker Hurricane Mk I R4118 Hawker Hurricane Mk I P3717 Hawker Hurricane Mk I V7497 Hawker Hurricane Mk I P2902 Hawker Hurricane Mk IIa DR393 Hawker Hurricane Mk IIb Hawker Hurricane Mk X Hawker Hurricane Mk XII P3700 Bristol Blenheim Mk IF Hawker Fury FB11 Fairey Swordfish Mk I de Havilland DH100 Vampire North American P-51D Mustang 'Moonbeam McSwine' Cavalier F-51D Mustang 'Miss Rebel' North American P-51D Mustang 'Jersey Jerk' Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 'Sally B' Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk 6 Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 'Nellie B' Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina Curtiss P-40F Warhawk Curtiss Hawk 75 CA-13 Boomerang Hispano HA-112 MIL Buchón 'Yellow 10' Help support the work of Warbird Owners, restorers and Aviation Museums with great, fresh roasted coffee from The Warbird Coffee Company https://www.warbirdcoffeecompany.co.uk Follow The Warbird Coffee Company On: Facebook: / warbirdcoffee Instagram: / warbirdcoffee
