Rack and Pinion Replacement - 2006-2016 Impala Steering Rack

This video documents my rack and pinion replacement adventure on a 2006 Chevrolet Impala LTZ with a 3.9L V6 motor. This is a fairly big job, but definitely very doable. The steering rack was leaking power steering fluid pretty badly. The Chevrolet dealership was wanting almost $1,200 to replace the steering rack. I found a Dorman brand rack and pinion at Autozone for $195 plus tax. Having an extra set of hands will make this job go quickly.
