Incredible Mini v Lotus track battle at Goodwood

The cars of the Goodwood Revival's Fordwater Trophy in 2019 might have been quite small, but that did not mean that the action was any less exciting than the big GT cars racing in the RAC TT. The highlight of this awesome race was this amazing battle between a Mini Marcos – in the hands of Goodwood legend Nick Swift – and a Lotus Elan – raced by Robert Barrie. It's not often that a Lotus Elan looks like the big-engined brute, but being pitched against the little Mini Marcos does just that. As the Mini catches through the corners, the extra power of the Lotus pays down the straights. Can Swift find a way through? There will be no Goodwood Revival for 2020, it has been moved to 2021, but we will be back with Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard in October.
