Now, seven years later, she has moved on raising their three children as a single mother. Then, one day on the beach, she meets Peter Lord, a novelist played by John Newland, who rekindles her love and they become engaged to marry. However - before they are married Catherine receives word that her husband has been found alive in a prison-of-war camp. Will she marry her new beau... or reunite with her long-lost husband? John Newland was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and began his career in vaudeville while still in his teens. After moving to New York City to study acting he signed with Warner Bros studios, relegated to playing bit parts. By the early 1950s, Newland began to focus solely on television roles, appearing in several episodes of Studio One, The Philco Television Playhouse, Tales of Tomorrow, Kraft Television Theatre, and Schlitz Playhouse of Stars, and, of course, appearing in and directing many episodes of the Loretta Young series. Catherine's three children are played by Erik Nielson, Judy Short and Linda Cunningham. Judy Short's credits include; Telephone Time (1956), The Joey Bishop Show (1961) and her performance in this episode of The Loretta Young Show. Linda Cunningham's only credit is for this episode of The Loretta Young Show. We can find no other credits for Erik Nielson, who played Catherine's son in this episode.
