Vidigulfo, assalto con l'esplosivo al bancomat: ladri in fuga con 10mila euro, indagini in corso

It occurred on the night between Friday and Saturday, in Vidigulfo. The Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank, on Via Roma, was hit. Around 3:30 a.m., three masked men blew up the ATM in the bank branch. According to initial reports, they arrived in a dark-colored car. For the attack, they allegedly used the "marmotta" technique, which involves placing a bomb to destroy the ATM and remove the cash inside. The explosion reportedly caused a loud bang. Within minutes, the criminals stole the cash stored inside the ATM and fled before law enforcement arrived. The loot they took is believed to be considerable: approximately 10,000 euros. The Carabinieri then arrived on the scene and acquired footage from local surveillance cameras to reconstruct the gang's route and identify those responsible. The investigation is ongoing. The ATM robbery in Vidigulfo adds to a long list of robberies that have occurred several times in the province of Pavia over the past year. More recently, ATMs at banks in Bressana Bottarone, Canneto Pavese, and Sartirana Lomellina were raided using the "marmotta" technique. This list is still growing, and it is suspected that a gang specializing in this type of theft is behind it.
