On a rain-swept Sunday afternoon it was the West Coast Eagles prevailing in what was a thriller - a game where the margin was within three goals for either side until late in the fourth quarter when Nick Stone's goal saw West Coast lead by 24 points. Inspired by skipper Gavin Wanganeen the Power had their chances after snatching a narrow two-point lead right on half time. However, the home side seized on their opportunities late in the third quarter and held on in the fourth term.
