[New York Home Visit Part 2 of 3] Artworks hanging in Sugimoto's New York home. Among his works are several of his signature "Theatre" and "Seascape" pieces. He tests his ability to see them every day without getting bored. Other pieces include a Japanese-style painting of a pre-war modern girl by Ishida Shigeko (though Sugimoto refers to her as "Mr. Ikeda" during the conversation), and "Seascape" by Yuri Kuper, a British painter born in Russia in 1940. Speaking of books, he mentions his long-standing collection of books such as "The Great Series of Japanese Classical Literature," as well as antique art magazines. *Interpretations and the historical perspectives based on them are personal opinions.
