INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH 1 stick of butter (200 g) at room temperature 1 cup (tea) of refined sugar Zest of 1 orange 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract 4 tablespoons of honey 2 eggs 3 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour 1 cup (tea) of cornstarch 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1 pinch of salt INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING Dulce de leche INGREDIENTS FOR THE TOPPING Semi-sweet chocolate PREPARATION METHOD Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the orange zest, honey, and eggs. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Knead the dough well until smooth. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough between two pieces of plastic wrap to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Using a cutter, cut out 5 cm diameter circles. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, or greased with butter and dusted with flour. Bake in a preheated medium oven (180°C) for approximately 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet. Once cool, join two discs with a layer of dulce de leche. Set aside. Melt the chocolate according to the package instructions and dip the alfajores. Place them on parchment paper to dry.
