Pure Blue Serenity: Crystal Bay 60-Min Uncut Slow TV Dive (Live Data, 4K)

Hi everyone, I’m Regis Boileau, an SSI Dive Instructor, and today I’m taking you on a journey to one of Bali's most iconic sites: Crystal Bay. Located on the west side of Nusa Penida, Crystal Bay (also known as Penida Bay) is world-famous for its incredible visibility and as a hotspot for the elusive Mola Mola. But today, it's all about the pure, meditative experience of the reef. This is a 60-minute "Slow TV" style video—an uncut, surface-to-surface dive. You’ll experience every thrill, every quiet moment, and the true rhythm of the ocean with no cuts and no distractions. The surface was quite moody today with heavy swell and big waves, but once we dropped into the bay, it was a peaceful sanctuary. We started at the coral mound on the right side, drifting between 15m and 20m. The visibility was a solid 20m with a balmy water temperature of 28-29°C. Keep an eye out for some fast-moving Dogtooth Tunas and a unique Flying Gurnard (Dactyloptena macracantha)! We finished the dive by exploring the healthy, sun-drenched corals on the 13m plateau before crossing the sand—where I spotted two Flounders—to head back to the reef.
