Railroad Yard With Road Cutting Across Middle Of Yard. Have You Ever Seen A Level Railroad Crossing Like This? 12 Tracks At Emery Gap Road Railroad Crossing In Harriman, Tennessee. This Is The Norfolk Southern Railroad Rat Hole Line. A Local Yard Switcher Is Seen Working The Yard While A Few Yard Freights Pass By. This is my second time to visit this unusual railroad crossing. The last time that I was here in 2018 all 12 tracks were in use. I found out this time that two of the tracks have been taken out of service. It is still an unusual railroad crossing and look how long it is. I wonder if school buses cross over this. I filmed from both sides of the crossing. Check out the last car on the first train. Is that cool looking or what?! Too bad it didn't have a giant transformer load on it. There were a few other railfans here also. A big gravel parking lot is perfect to watch the train action. I also included a train from my last visit and you can see one of the tracks in that video that was still in service at that time.
