California Great Renumbering of 1964 (Highways) - Episode 6 - The Leftovers and the Bannered Routes
In 1963, California had seventeen US highways in the state, but by the end of the decade, only seven remained. This episode examines the three routes, which were essentially unchanged by the Great Renumbering: US 199, US 97, and US 95. PLUS. An examination of the five bannered routes which still existed in 1963: US 101 ALT, US 40 ALT, US 101 BYPASS, US 50 BYPASS, and US 66 ALT.
