A Russian missile hit a highway in Merefa, Kharkiv Oblast, on May 4, 2026 at around 09:40. The missile hit the roadway during heavy traffic. As of 15:01, another person had died in hospital from his injuries, bringing the death toll to six, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported. Another 36 people were injured and are in critical condition.
