TRIBUNJAKARTA.COM - YTR, a woman from Rancaekek who was the victim of alleged three years of captivity and abuse, can finally breathe a sigh of relief after Taufik Hidayat's long escape ended. The suspect was arrested by the West Java Regional Police in the Ciparay area, Bandung Regency, after previously fleeing and hiding in Tangerang, Banten. Although the perpetrator has been apprehended, YTR's struggle is not over. She is currently undergoing intensive care at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung for injuries sustained during the violence. With a faltering voice, YTR expressed her gratitude for Taufik Hidayat's arrest. She thanked the police and all parties who had overseen her case until the perpetrator was apprehended. The victim also hopes the panel of judges will impose the harshest possible sentence on Taufik Hidayat. During the recovery process, YTR even assisted investigators by describing the perpetrator's physical characteristics, including the fish tattoo on his arm, one of Taufik Hidayat's defining characteristics. Amidst the lingering trauma, a glimmer of hope began to grow within the victim. His aunt, Erni, revealed that YTR's mental state is gradually improving. According to her, YTR has tried to make peace with the past, has sincerely accepted reality, and has chosen to focus on rebuilding his life. This desire to recover is evident in the simple plans the victim has begun to formulate. YTR aspires to open his own business selling online, including starting a fried chicken business as a first step toward a new life. Erni hopes that the legal process against Taufik Hidayat will be fair so that her nephew will receive the justice he has been fighting for. She also expressed her gratitude to the community for their continued prayers and support for YTR's physical and mental recovery, so that the victim can truly recover and start a new chapter in his life.
