It is also a powerful framework that determines how art is perceived. The space surrounding the artwork, the use of light, the viewer's movement, and the quiet atmosphere of the gallery directly influence the meaning of the artwork. Therefore, the white cube is both a widely used and frequently debated exhibition model in contemporary art.
