Animal Factory Orobas II | Why do tubes sound so good?
This video is about Orobas II from Animal Factory Amplification. It’s a dual VCA and saturator that uses vacuum tubes - and while it can certainly do extreme sonic destruction, it’s also capable of adding more subtle character, and it has some very flexible routing options which make it a super-powerful addition to a modular synthesis setup. In this video, I’ve built a few patches that put it through its paces and explore the sonic possibilities of vacuum tubes. Did I get bitten by the distortion bug? Watch to find out. Big thanks to Animal Factory Amplification for supplying the Orobas II for me to check out. You can find out more about it here: https://animalfactoryamps.com/collect...
