After a few days of conditioning and them starting to feel comfortable with the sounds in the room where they're being conditioned, I'll begin a further conditioning routine and implement a consistent, consistent care regimen. Dew drops every day at 5:30 AM, then expose them to the sun for a short time until 7:00 AM, if the weather permits. Dew is very effective in quickly getting the red anis into good shape. Bathing the anis every other day is sufficient after the dew exposure. After bathing, give them one or two worms at most. In the afternoon, give them two to three crickets. On days without a bath, give them two to three crickets after the dew exposure. Worms are only given after the morning bath, and if worms have been given, give them crickets in the afternoon. Fruit is given daily to balance the large amount of EF needed for the red anis's conditioning period, recovery, or estrus.
