How to Draw Creatively: PART 2 Drawing Bottles

Learn how to draw bottles creatively with a piece of graphite attached to a stick. Relax and learn to have more fun and be more creative with your drawing. This is the second art tutorial in my series on How to Draw Creatively and is inspired by the Cubist bottle drawings of Picasso. In this art video I am using wine bottles as the theme as they are often used as starting points in GCSE art projects. I draw and sketch the bottles with a piece of graphite attached to a long stick to create a more interesting and uncontrollable line. I sketch the bottles randomly on top of each other and then look to add more line with a pencil emphasizing the verticality of the drawing, to give the impression of a Picasso cubist drawing. You will learn how to vary the line and tone using pencil and graphite. The result is the drawing will be come more creative and imaginative. I explain step by step how you can get the eye to focus on elements of the drawing by strengthening the tone. This video is aimed at students studying art and design (GCSE art) and looking to develop their drawing techniques together with those wishing to add a little more imagination and creatively to their drawings.
