It went through multiple song changes and re-edits but now I'm finally happy with the video so I wanted to share it with you. Story: Eddie and Steve have had an on / off relationship for many years. Their major problem is that they both have a hard time communicating their feelings and Steve is under a lot of pressure due to his social status at school. It's Eddie who first confesses his love and catches Steve off guard (flashback). Even though they eventually resolve that fight and get back together in Senior Year , the damage has been done. This time, it's Steve who confesses his love but Eddie can't reciprocate Steve's feelings because he's still hurt from what happend when he confessed his love and he's too scared that he'll get hurt again. They break up and this time, it's for good. When he finds himself on the bathroom floor with Robin, he tells her about the only time he fell in love. He finds himself giving Dustin relationship advice, thinking about the relationship he had with Eddie. However, the events of Season 4 start happening and Steve finds himself confronted with his ex-boyfriend once more. Naturally, they become closer again and Steve doesn't know what to do anymore. During the drive to the War Zone, he finds himself tellling Eddie about the future he's always envisioned for himself, leaving out one important detail. In the Upside down, just before the big showdown, he tells Eddie the truth. It was the future he'd envisioned for himself with Eddie (now, I know that they are two guys and that they (usually) wouldn't be able to have kids due to biological reasons. However, in my mind, Steve's words of "family" should be regarded more openly in this context. I like to think that Steve speaks of a "found family" in this video. More precisely, the found family he's built for himself in these four seasons. In this story, he tells Eddie that he wants him to be a part of this family, that he wants Eddie to be by his side and look out for these kids together. Like a proper family). However, Vecna and the Upside Down crush this dream as Eddie sacrifises himself to protect the love of his life and his family. Steve arrives just in time to hold his love in his arms as Eddie makes him promise one last thing. The last words that leave Eddie's mouth are "I love you". Alright, this is a long text and I'm sure the story isn't described as neatly as I would've liked it but it's a quick summary of the story. I really hope that you enjoyed this video.
