This is my first ever collaborative video with the harp, and who better to help me do it than my bro Ben Turk, who some of you may know as the mysterious hermit Ralathor of UK power metal band Gloryhammer! Ben and I have worked together on countless musical projects over many years, but this is the first time we’ve joined forces with the harp, mainly because it’s a bit hard to get a good balance of the two instruments! Fortunately for this video we had the chance to play live in relative isolation. When it came to picking a song together we had lots of cool ideas (some of which I think we should do some other time!), but we chose the song Against All Odds as long-time Phil Collins fans – a great groove, great chords, an unforgettable melody. What’s not to love. This song has crazy soul. Thank you Phil. For this video Ben is playing Guru’s Tour series thin shell solid segmented American walnut drums.
