Nepenthes veitchii is probably one of the most impressive tropical pitcher plant because it produces one of the biggest flared peristome. But do you know it's also a beginner species? Even if beginners should start by "strong hybrids" to build their skills and confidence, after the classic N. Ventrata, Gaya or Briggsiana, the next step would be going with an easy "pure species" (because if it flower, you will be able to trade pollen and get seeds!).
