This housing complex is one of the projects in the area known as Maja City of Kinship, which was promoted by the New Order government in 1995 as part of the new city development plan for Maja. However, construction on this project began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but was ultimately disrupted by the 1997–1998 monetary crisis, resulting in many housing developments being left unfinished and stalled.
