Hello, this is Day One Design. The space we are introducing today is a 43-pyeong apartment in Hillstate Pangyo Wonmaeul Complex 11, featuring a sense of openness added through precise structural changes on a base of warm oak and cream white tones. This project is a home designed for a client's family who moved to the mainland after living in the warm climate of Jeju for a long time. Capturing the family's desire for the inherent coziness and warmth of a home, we moved away from standardized layouts and focused on reflecting the lifestyles of the family members in detail. We tore down a stifling wall to create an open kitchen adjacent to the living room. Through bold structural changes, we created a cozy reading space for the children and transformed the bathroom previously attached to the main room into a shared bathroom for the entire family. Experience Day One Design's meticulously crafted space, which offers a warm sense of stability and visual openness to the family staying here, in this video now. [Key Design Points] Entrance: An expanded entrance courtyard created by integrating the existing vestibule and entrance into one, completing a neat and warm first impression with a fabric-laminated glass double door and a cream-toned ceramic bench. Living Room: A wall boldly devoid of a TV, filled with custom-made bookshelves to create a space for complete family communication. Study: A double-hinged sliding door newly installed by removing the living room wall, serving as both a private study and family room with a flexible structure that offers both openness and independence as needed. Kitchen: An open-plan layout created by boldly removing the boundary wall, a sense of unity between the home bar space additionally secured through dressing room layout adjustments and the cream-toned ceramic island. Children's Room: The largest main room was given to the child, creating a cozy hideaway-style reading space compactly utilizing the balcony expansion.
