Funerali di Anna Zaccagnini, moglie di Benigno, padre costituente della democrazia

Anna Busignani Zaccagnini, widow of Benigno—a founding father of Italian democratic culture, the historic Ravenna secretary of the Christian Democrats, and founder of the Provincial Federation of Farmers—passed away at the age of 98 on August 14. Her funeral took place today, Monday, August 19, in the Church of Santa Maria in Porto, with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Lorenzo Ghizzoni of Ravenna, in the presence of representatives of local political, religious, and cultural institutions. The Ravenna community gathered around the ceremony, remembering her as a highly educated figure committed to social causes and for many years involved in the life of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna. Many friends and acquaintances of the Zaccagnini family joined the family in mourning; Benigno and Anna were co-protagonists of numerous activities supporting civil society and the Christian community.
