"Las Grandes Obras del Centenario de 1910 y los Proyectos que Fracasaron"

In 1910, Mexico celebrated the first centennial of its Independence with a series of monumental projects that sought to showcase the country as a modern, prosperous nation capable of competing with the world's great capitals. Under the government of Porfirio Díaz, hospitals, monuments, public buildings, and infrastructure projects were inaugurated, forever transforming the urban landscape of Mexico City. However, not all of these ambitious projects were completed. Some were interrupted by the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution, while others had to wait decades to be finished or were transformed into something completely different from what their creators envisioned. Join us on this journey through the grand works of the Independence Centennial, the most impressive projects of the Porfiriato, and the architectural dreams that remained unfinished. We will discover what kind of Mexico Porfirio Díaz wanted to present to the world and what became of the buildings that marked the end of an era. #PorfirioDiaz #Centennial1910 #HistoryOfMexico #Porfiriato #AngelOfIndependence #FineArts #MonumentToTheRevolution #AncientMexico #MexicanArchitecture #MexicanHistory #HistoricalCDMX #WorksOfThePorfiriato #MexicanRevolution #HistoricalHeritage #HistoricalCuriosities #MexicoHistoryAndMemories #HistoryForAll #MexicoCity #MonumentsOfMexico #SecretsOfMexico
