Full journey on the Woolwich Ferry from the Ferry North Side, North Woolwich, London to the Ferry South Side, Woolwich, London, across the River Thames. Date Filmed: 24-03-2019 This video shows the full journey on the Woolwich Vehicle and Passenger ferry from the Ferry North Side (for North Woolwich) to the Ferry South Side (for Woolwich). The whole journey is filmed, from boarding and departing the north dock to arriving and disembarking the south dock. I travelled on the ferry on a Sunday so only one ferry was operating and only during the hours of 11:30 to 19:30 The process of vehicles and passengers boarding and alighting from the ferry is quite interesting. A set of ramps are raised and lowered accordingly and vehicles and passengers can board once barriers have been raised. Announcements are played before departure and on arrival of the ferry docks, and foot passengers and cyclists are separated on either sides of the ferry, with vehicle lanes in the middle. The ferry crossing is free and run by Transport for London (tfl). The ferry connects Woolwich with North Woolwich and London City Airport, across the River Thames. Thanks For Watching!
