Welcome to beautiful Old Hickory Tennessee! Nestled in between Hermitage and Mt Juliet, this terrific little town is where my husband and I decided to plant our roots so I thought it would be a great idea to drive you around the area I know best! If you are thinking of moving to the Nashville area, driving around different neighborhoods and can such a daunting tasks. In this video, I will be driving you around Old Hickory Tennessee in order for you to see the different homes, communities and amenities it offers. Old Hickory is only 25 minutes from downtown Nashville and sits right in between I-40 and I-65 so you have equal access to both. Old Hickory is best known for housing the employees at the old DuPont plant back during World War I. This area makes up what is now called "The Village" and has a variety of homes from bungalow style homes, craftsman and ranch homes. What is great about Old Hickory is that it hugs the Cumberland River which widens to form Old Hickory Lake. Since it wraps around Old Hickory Lake, there are lots of lakefront homes available. Old Hickory is an older historic town that is going through its gentrification process.
