CHIANG RAI Y LA FRONTERA | Triángulo de Oro, Mekong y Myanmar

WELCOME TO DINNA BE FEART: DARK SCOTLAND IN SPANISH 🌫️ 🇹🇭 CHIANG RAI AND THE BORDER | Golden Triangle, Mekong, and Myanmar Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand, is often seen as a quick day trip from Chiang Mai: White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House… a few photos and back. But Chiang Rai is much more than its famous temples. In this episode, we begin our *Chronicles from Thailand* by traveling through Chiang Rai towards one of the most fascinating areas in the north of the country: the **Golden Triangle**, the **Mekong River**, and the border between **Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar**. We visit the famous Golden Triangle, the point where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet, a region marked by the opium trade, border routes, and the Mekong River. We crossed by boat to the Laotian side, explored a riverside market, and continued on to Mae Sai, Thailand's northernmost city, on the border with Myanmar. This isn't just a "what to see in Chiang Rai in a day" video. It's a story about borders: between countries, between the touristy and the real, between what you expect to find on a trip… and what the trip ultimately leaves you with. Chiang Rai isn't just the White Temple. It isn't just the Blue Temple. It isn't just a quick day trip from Chiang Mai. Chiang Rai is also a border, a river, smoke, markets, living temples, hospitality, and memory. 🗺️ VIDEO LOCATIONS 📍 Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand 📍 Golden Triangle 📍 Mekong River 📍 Market on the Laotian side 📍 Mae Sai 📍 Thailand/Myanmar Border 📍 Wat Tham Pla, Monkey Temple 📍 Wat Khua Khrae 📍 Chiang Rai Airport 🕓 CHAPTERS / TIME LIMITS 00:00 Chiang Rai Wasn't Just Temples 01:10 Chronicles from Thailand 01:51 On the Way to the Golden Triangle 02:36 Arriving at the Golden Triangle 04:28 The Golden Triangle from the Air 05:02 By Boat on the Mekong River 11:38 The Market on the Laotian Side 16:53 Heading to Mae Sai 18:45 The Border Between Thailand and Myanmar 20:41 The Mae Sai Market 23:41 Wat Tham Pla, the Monkey Temple 29:52 The Ending We Filmed 31:07 Wat Khua Khrae 32:19 A Temple Full of Life 33:51 Something Unexpected 38:22 The Trip Leaves Us Exhausted 40:14 What Chiang Rai Taught Us ⚠️ DISCRETION NOTICE The final part includes a real experience from a funeral setting in a Thai temple.
