How To Make A Shot Glass

Link to my Instagram   / zacstronaut_glass   Lip Wrapped Encalmo Shot Glass Tutorial In this upload I build a lip wrapped Encalmo shot glass with with Lucid and Galaxy from Northstar Glass. As a self taught glass artist I am working to create thoughtful informative lamp working tutorials for people like myself who might not be able to get to in person lessons very easily. Building this shot glass consists of taking the clear and coloured tubes and opening the ends and wrapping the lip of one with a thin line of colour. Then with both tubes opened to the same size, the two rings are carefully joined together before heating and puffing out the connections to thicken and condense the wall until it’s even. Once the body of the cup is made one of the blow tubes is removed before condensing a heavy bottom so the cup stable. I prepped the Lucid tube in a previous upload where I go over how to blow out solid colour into tubing and pulling rod from a bar of colour.
