W +S Hawaii 2025 Episode 8 Day 8

W + S 2025 Hawiian Vacation (Episode 8) Day 8 10/03/2025. 3nd full day on Big Island Starting off in our condo from #vrbo in Kailua-Kona we get prepared for the day. After a short introduction it’s down to the car as we hit the road and head north, and then east. After making our way through the mountain it’s a quick stop in Hilo at kens café/ Kens house of pancakes. After grabbing ken’s, we spend some time at the Kulaniappia Waters fall, with a beautiful above fall view from the residence. We make our way down the hill to the base of the water fall where we spend a little time paddle boarding. From the water fall it’s an unfilmed stop at the shaved ice spot with the magic chocolate shell then off to Volcano National Park. At the National Park there is a walkthrough of the nahuku (Lava Tube). After the lava tube a brief stop at the scenic overlook of the trail that goes through the crater. Once finished at Valcano National Park it’s a nice drive up the road to Panalu’u Beach AKA the Black Sand Beach After getting some film footage of Omari Star in the Black Sand its back in the car to continue our drive. Our drive leads us to the southern most bakery in the United States. Punalu’u Bakery where they have apple cinnamon bread that is delicious. After getting a few items from the bakery its back on the road around the island. For our final stop to get some local chocolate we stopped at The Hale Cocoa Kona Coffee Café. From the Café its back to Kailua- Kona Area to our vrbo where we close out the day early. Episode 9 Day 9 coming soon
