DACIA 1300: Când pasiunea scrie o poveste perfectă! Episod aniversar la 10 ani de Mașinistul

Happy Birthday, Romanians! Happy Birthday, Romania! And Happy Birthday, The Machinist! In 2015, I stepped into this world of classic cars with an almost childish naivety — convinced that passion can compensate for the lack of experience. Here I am, ten years later, continuing this tradition, which has become part of my soul. And how could I celebrate this decade of activity any other way than by returning to where it all started. With Paul Ivan, the guest in the first clip, and the Dacia 1300, the car that dominated the roads of Romania for almost four decades. So, I returned to the beautiful lands of Prahova to present this story that captures, in the purest way possible, nostalgia for an old car. I have filmed Dacia 1300s over the years, but none have had as authentic a story as this 1981 model — one of the last to be produced with the original design, before the advent of the so-called transitional models. For many, purchasing a Dacia 1300 is an exercise in emotional memory, reminding them of the family car. But it is quite another to recover the very car you grew up in and bring it back to life, without even thinking for a moment about its market value or the return on investment. That is passion in its purest form, isn’t it? It was deeply moving to return to these places after ten years and find the same yard and the same red Dacia 1300 from 1972, whose French engine I immediately recognized by its unmistakable whistle. And instead of the orange Dacia, I discovered a 1970 “sutica”, which, who knows, may be the subject of a future episode. After hydrating and sweetening myself with products from the traditional partners of these anniversary films, I invited Paul to tell me the whole adventure through which his childhood car was recovered, restored and brought back to where it belonged — in the Ivan family. Anniversary episode supported by Borsec mineral water and ROM Autentic chocolate. ___________________ Driver: Alin-Alexandru Ionescu. Guest: Paul Ivan.
