About the Cascadia biome The Pacific Northwest, often known as Cascadia, is a geographical region in the western part of North America, bounded on the west by the North Pacific Ocean and on the east, roughly, by the Rocky Mountains or Cascade Range. Since there are no official boundaries, it is generally believed to include the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, and the U.S. states of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. About the Game In Cascadia, players compete to create the most diverse environments in the Pacific Northwest, creating beautiful natural landscapes by drawing and arranging habitat tiles and wildlife tokens. Each hand of Cascadia features a new scoring system using a unique combination of different scoring objectives based on the five available animal species. As players attempt to arrange animal species according to scoring patterns, they also attempt to form the largest interconnected biological corridor. As players create their ecosystems, they must also be mindful of the habitats they create and the animals that inhabit those habitats, with the goal of creating the most balanced ecosystem in the Cascadia biome.
