What Happens When You DON'T follow the Ikebana "Rules"?

In Part 3 of this Brussels sprouts + Gloriosa series, I'm experimenting with glass vases. What we're working with here is a beautiful contrast: the fine, delicate shape of Gloriosa against the dense, round Brussels sprout. Red and green. Light and heavy. And somewhere along the way, the structure started reminding me of the Atomium, building up from a base, reaching into the air. The final arrangement came together through pure experimentation.
