Destination Unknown: Indian Scout 101 Review | Coffee, Pies & Macquarie Pass
Welcome to the first episode of Destination Unknown, where we review motorcycles the way they're meant to be experienced, on the open road, discovering new places. Today, we are on the Indian Scout 101 on a South Coast adventure from Sydney to the Southern Highlands. We swap bikes at every stop to give you two different rider perspectives on this 1250cc American cruiser. 🛣️ THE ROUTE: • Start: Sydney • Stop 1: The Imperial at Clifton for coffee • Stop 2: Macquarie Pass (8km of twisties) • Stop 3: Farm Club Australia for lunch • Return via Southern Highlands 🏍️ INDIAN SCOUT 101 SPECS: • Engine: 1250cc Liquid-Cooled V-Twin • Power: 111 HP / 82 kW • Torque: 109 Nm • Weight: 249kg • Price: $28,995 Ride Away (Inc GST) • Premium Brembo brakes, inverted forks, piggyback shocks • 4" RIDE COMMAND display with GPS, Bluetooth, cruise control 📍 LOCATIONS FEATURED: The Imperial at Clifton: theimperialclifton.com.au Macquarie Pass National Park: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macquarie_Pass Farm Club Australia: farmclubaustralia.com ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Intro & Meeting Up 3:15 - The Imperial Coffee Stop 4:17 - Tegans First Time On the Indian 101 7:57 - Tackling Macquarie Pass 10:31 - The 'Big Pig' 11:42 - Farm Club Lunch & Pie Banter 12:06 - Final Thoughts & Verdict 💭 OUR VERDICT: The Scout 101 surprised us both. It's sportier than expected, handles twisties brilliantly, and looks absolutely stunning. The forward foot position takes getting used to, and it runs hot in traffic, but for weekend blasts and day rides, it's hard to beat. Ross's take: Raw power delivery, sports bike handling in a cruiser package Tegan's take: More nimble than expected, but that forward position is extreme! 🏍️ Indian Motorcycle Australia: www.indianmotorcycle.com.au/101-scout 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more Destination Unknown episodes - we're reviewing bikes the right way!
