Haaland HAT-TRICK sends City through 🤩 | Manchester City (4-0) Liverpool | Emirates FA Cup 2025-26

Watch the highlights a Manchester City hosted Liverpool in the first quarter-final of the #EmiratesFACup at the Etihad Stadium. Both sides walked out to a tense atmosphere at the home of the Carabao Cup winners, but it was the visiting red who were on the front foot early as Hugo Ekitike and Mo Salah missed early chances to put their side ahead. Just as it seemed nobody could end the first-half deadlock, as miss-timed tackle from Virgil van Dyk took down Nico O'Reilly inside their own penalty box - awarding the hosts a kick from the spot. Erling Haaland calmy stepped up and fired his side ahead, and one step closer to the semi-finals. Just before the end of the half Antoine Semenyo found space to send a cross into the box, which Haaland met with his head for his second goal to double his sides advantage. Semenyo then found himself on the scoresheet shortly into the second-half as he produced an excellent chip over Liverpool's [goalkeeper]. Salah attempted to pull one back minutes later, but City's James Trafford produced an incredible diving effort to deny the Egyptian. The Norwegian found his hat-trick later in the half with a thundering strike off the top bar. Liverpool tried to muscle their way back into the game, including a penalty attempt from Salah - which Trafford expertly saved.
