At the age of 2, he received a drum set from his father Netinho, drummer of the band *Os Incríveis*, and began to have daily contact with music. Thus, he learned to speak, walk, and play at the same time, awakening an insatiable curiosity for all the instruments and rhythms he encountered. At the age of 8, Sandro was already a professional musician, participating in shows and recordings with his father throughout Brazil. A few years later, at the age of 11, Sandro founded the band *Bom-Bom*, which released the song "Vamos a La Playa," a hit that topped the charts for six months – two intense years filled with many shows and television appearances. However, Sandro was growing prodigiously as a professional and musician, and realized that the conventional education system did not provide a conducive environment for his artistic development. Netinho supported his departure from conventional school. Sandro then dedicated all his time to studying music in all its aspects, and continued to grow in his artistic career. Sandro went on to work in various specialties as a musical professional – playing live in dance bands, rock and instrumental jazz groups; recording in phonographic productions; teaching; and producing jingles and advertising soundtracks. It was while working with the accordion master Dominguinhos that Sandro discovered his own musical identity and style, delving deep into the richness of the diverse regional roots of Brazil.
