Our initial intention was to complete our mission to explore the newest climbing route on Mount Canar, Garut, but the extreme terrain forced our egos to submit. Who would have thought, this failure would lead us to a magical, quiet corner: Talaga Bodas! Sampurasun Sadulur! Welcome back to the Ini Gunung channel (and our honest travel space at Ini Journey). This happy camping trip began in Cimahi, braved the heat and storms of the Padaleunyi toll road, crossed the unusually quiet Nagreg, and finally stopped to enjoy the serene drizzle at Situ Bagendit. However, the real story begins when our car's wheels touched the entrance to the Mount Canar basecamp. As owners of a small city car, the steep, narrow route before us forced us to make a logical decision for safety: abandon the climb and continue on to our original plan: a fun camping trip at the white crater of Talaga Bodas, Wanaraja, Garut. In this video, we capture in full and honest detail the logistics conditions to basecamp, the excitement of simulating a "campervan with limited capital" inside the car cabin, the warmth of young goat satay at 1,500 meters above sea level, and the incredibly majestic morning landscape as the Talaga Bodas caldera, Sagara Peak, and Mount Canar greet us from the car windows. This adventure truly taught us that the ultimate goal of a journey isn't always about the summit we reach, but rather about acceptance.
