One ambitious project was called Concept 5 Future Tank Design. Essentially, it was a tank on wheels. Such vehicles were intended for specific theaters of war, where wheeled vehicles had an advantage, such as rocky deserts. As armament, it had a 105 mm gun, which allowed it to fight against medium tanks of that period.
