They are certified meditation, yoga teachers (200-hr) and spiritual counselling certified by the Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation. They both practice Kriya Yoga, the scientific method of meditation mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. As householders, both Nara and Kalamali are Pilgrims in the renunciate order established by Swami Kriyananda in late 2009, the Nayaswami Order. Together Nara and Kalamali assist the distribution and marketing for Co-Spiritual Directors of Ananda Sangha Worldwide, Nayaswami Jyotish and Nayaswami Devi, with their weekly Touch of Light blog, podcast, and Jyotish’s spiritual art.
