A new fire in León has forced the evacuation of approximately 260 people from five towns after burning 1,800 hectares in an hour and a half. In the province, the firefighting continues in several locations, and at least nine municipalities have been evacuated due to the Llamas de Cabrera fire. The fire has also forced the evacuation of residents of Llánaves de la Reina, who are also part of Portilla de la Reina. Very dry vegetation and grasslands are causing flames up to four meters high. In Zamora, 240 people have returned to their homes in Villanueva de la Sierra, Barjacoba, and Pías, although residents of Porto have not been able to do so. Some of them decided to stay and helped crews extinguish the fire. As in other cases, they complain of a lack of resources and personnel.
