Building a Dark Organic Modern Luxury Lakefront Mansion from scratch — a full tour through a moody home set in a long valley between water and mountains. Inside, every room follows one rule: heaviness outside, brightness within. The kitchen anchors on a book-matched marble waterfall island under full-height windows that pull the valley into the room. The spa bathroom keeps the air a degree cooler — stone walls, a freestanding tub lit cool from below. I designed the entertainment lounge as a gallery first, screen second. At the heart of the home, an oval double-height atrium opens around a curved sectional, a crystal chandelier, and a marble floor threaded through every dark room.
